R. Scott Wallis is a podcaster, novelist, and the co-owner of the Las Vegas photo booth company, Pixel & Props.
Scott grew up in Williamsburg, Virginia, studied journalism and public relations, then lived and worked in and around Washington, DC for 24 years. His myriad experiences include working as an assistant to the Vice President of the United States; serving as creative director for a political think tank; running his own high-end event planning company; establishing his family’s clothing manufacturing company that sold childrens clothing in over 300 stores nationwide; and, designing and operating his own award-winning men’s clothing store.
Writing as Macon Lence, Scott's newest book dropped in September 2023. Ill Gotten Gains: Dairy of a Gentle Grifter is a darkly funny Las Vegas crime caper.
His first five novels (writing as R. Scott Wallis) were published in 2019 and 2020. He used his life experiences, travels, and love of fiction and dialogue, to create the darkly funny thrillers that are sold on Amazon as both ebooks and trade paperbacks.
Along with Dale Blades, Scott has produced and co-hosted the weekly Swish Edition comedy and pop culture podcast off and on since 2010. The show has been downloaded in over 144 countries and has hosted scores of super cool celebrity guests. The show reached the top 2% on Apple Podcasts' comedy list.
Scott has championed causes such as animal adoption and public school reform, and has financially supported Wolf Park, the Neon Museum, the Tyler Robinson Foundation, and the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.
Scott has traveled to four continents, mostly by sea. While he loves exploring the world, it's the beautiful United States that he likes best. He's been to Alaska five times, Hawaii twice, and usually has trips to Key West and Palm Springs on the calendar.
Scott digs great food, home improvement projects, (dreaming about) private jets, slot machines, reading, and collecting pop art. He lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, with his husband and their two rescue dogs.
